Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said that the prosecutors who visited him to present charges in the so-called ‘Shark Selfie’ case appeared ‘very embarrassed.’
“For my part, I protest only the indictment in the ‘Shark Selfie’ case, and not the sanctions, because I have called on my numerous friends in the West to impose sanctions, and I repeat, I will call on them again,” the jailed Former President Mikheil Saakashvili stated on social media.
Earlier, at a briefing at the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze announced that criminal proceedings had been initiated against Mikheil Saakashvili, Giorgi Vashadze, Nika Gvaramia, Nikanor Melia, Zurab Japaridze, Elene Khoshtaria, Mamuka Khazaradze, and Badri Japaridze.
