Migration Department expels foreign national who fired acoustic weapon

Officers of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), through joint activities conducted with the Tbilisi Police Department, detained an Israeli citizen born in 2005.

Investigation determined that the Israeli tourist fired several shots from an acoustic weapon while driving in a tunnel near Heroes’ Square on December 29, 2005.

The individual was detained and fined GEL 4,000 in line with Article 173 of the Code on Administrative Law Violations. He was expelled from Georgia and banned from entry for a 3-year term.
