Migration Department deports 27 foreign nationals from Georgia

Officers of the Migration Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant units, have deported 27 foreign nationals from Georgia.

Through comprehensive measures undertaken recently by the Migration Department, a total of 27 citizens, including those from Turkiye, India, Azerbaijan, China, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Germany, Pakistan, Egypt, Israel and Libya, have been expelled from Georgia.

The MIA also confirmed that, in accordance with current legislation, those deported have been barred from re-entering Georgia.

The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its mandate includes identifying foreign nationals residing without legal grounds and expelling them through intensive immigration controls and other measures.
