Employees of the Migration Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant units, have deported 26 foreign nationals from Georgia.
According to the Ministry, through comprehensive measures undertaken recently by the Migration Department, a total of 26 citizens from Türkiye, India, Iran, Turkmenistan, China, Cuba, Nigeria, Egypt, Libya, Cameroon and Pakistan have been expelled from Georgia.
The MIA also confirmed that, in accordance with current legislation, those deported have been barred from re-entering Georgia.
The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its mandate includes identifying foreign nationals residing without legal grounds and expelling them through intensive immigration controls and other measures.
