MIA seizes 6 kilograms of Methadone drugs, arrests two Belarusian citizens
Officers of the Adjara Main Department’s Central Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, through operative police measures, seized 6 kilograms of Methadone drugs, which cost approximately 3 million GEL on the so-called black market.
In connection with the same case, two Belarusian citizens, born in 1993 and 1992, were arrested, charged with unlawful purchase, keeping and selling of narcotic drugs.
Law enforcers searched a car and the temporary residential place of the detainees and confiscated Methadone as evidence.
“The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment,” the MIA said in its statement.
