Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) held meetings with focus groups in Tbilisi and the regions as part of the 16-Day Activism global campaign in prevention of Violence Against Women.

According to the MIA, the campaign aims to raise awareness in society to ensure timely notification and support of violence victims.

The meetings with municipality representatives, students, teachers, and beneficiaries included issues such as legal mechanisms to combat violence, including warrants of restraint, electronic surveillance, preventive measures, and signs of potential crime in the internet space.
