MIA detains citizen of Turkiye wanted under Interpol Red Notice in Batumi

Officers of the Adjara Nain Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained a citizen of Turkiye, born in 2001, wanted under Interpol’s Red Notice in Batumi.

The detained man was wanted by the Republic of Turkey on charges of illegal acquisition and storage of ammunition, intentional harm to health, and damage to property. Extradition procedures are underway, the MIA said.
