MEP Rasa Juknevičienė: Situation in Georgia worsens 

“Bidzina Ivanishvili’s pro-Russian Georgian government continues to arrest opposition leaders. Unfortunately, the situation in Georgia is getting worse,” wrote a member of the European Parliament, Rasa Juknevičienė, on social media.

According to the MEP, while the Georgian people continue to protest, “our thoughts and hearts are with them!”

“Despite the EU Council of Foreign Ministers that met yesterday, which included the issue of the situation in Sakartvele by Lithuania’s proposal, despite the MEGABARI Act regarding the strict regime being considered in the US Senate, Bidzina Ivanishvili’s pro-Russian Georgian government continues to arrest opposition leaders. Unfortunately, the situation in Sakartvelo is getting worse. People are still protesting, our thoughts and hearts are with them!” she said.
