MEP Nacho Sánchez Amor: It’s appalling to see Georgia at full speed towards a one-party system

“It’s appalling to see Georgia at full speed towards a one-party system. One by one, opposition figures being jailed,” wrote Nacho Sánchez Amor, a member of the European Parliament on the X Platform.

According to the MEP, the Georgian government turned into authoritarianism betraying aspirations of the Georgian society.

“It’s appalling to see Georgia at full speed towards a one-party system. One by one opposition figures being jailed.

The country has passed from being a frontrunner in integration to frontrunner in authoritarianism at light speed, betraying the aspirations of its society,” he said.
