European Parliament member Rasa Juknevičienė said, “Georgia has been drifting away from Europe under the rule of Bidzina Ivanishvili for years.”

In her address at the European People’s Party in Valencia, MEP Juknevičienė noted that “De-Bidzination of Georgia is our investment into our future and security.”

“Georgia is one of the oldest Christian nations on our continent.

Today, we face a very real risk of losing European Georgia to Kremlin-style Georgia. Georgia has been drifting away from Europe under the rule of Bidzina Ivanishvili for years, but the rigged parliamentary elections in October 2024 started a new chapter of Georgia’s downfall. Brutal repressions, violence, arrests, all out of the Kremlin’s playbook.

Once a rested European ally, Georgia is turning into a Putin’s puppet. This is not just a huge loss for all freedom-loving Georgians, but a loss of a strategic ally in the Black Sea region, which is crucial for European security.

Current Georgian regime is an example of a successful internal state capture by the Kremlin.

This might also happen to an EU member state if we don’t stop this infection in time.

‘Debiznation’ of Georgia is our investment into our future and security. Every country that cares about the future of Europe must immediately impose sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili and all those responsible for the rigged elections and repressions,” she concluded.
