MEP Fotyga says Georgian gov’t denied her access to jailed Saakashvili
MEP from Poland Anna Fotyga held a meeting with Giuli Alasania, mother of jailed ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili.
In her tweet, MEP Fotyga said, the Georgian government denied her to visit ex-President.
“Again the government of Georgian Dream denied me to visit the 3rd President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, detained for almost a year now. I met with his mother Giuli Alasania and his friend Giorgi Chaladze to get first-hand knowledge about his situation. I remain impressed by their courage and resolve,” she went on.
