Member of Strategy Aghmashenebeli: Door to negotiations closes

A door to negotiations closes. Unfortunately, there is still no exact date for the fifth round of talks, said Sergo Chikhladze, a member of the opposition Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.

According to Chikhladze, the opposition plans to meet presumably next week to discuss ongoing developments, both in the national and international arenas.

Chikhladze also commented on the Georgian Dream’s proposal to establish a facts-finding interim parliamentary commission over the 2020 parliamentary elections.

“We wanted to prove the election fraud and tried all legal means, which appeared blocked by the government and Central Election Commission,” Sergo Chikhladze said.

Chikladze said the proposal of the ruling party was a trick. They now propose a tool that could have been used three months ago but has been blocked.

Irakli Kobakhidze called on the opposition to engage in the parliamentary work and set up an interim inquiry commission to look into the October 31 elections in Georgia.
