The Mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, alongside Vice Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze, held a meeting with the Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan. The meeting highlighted the warm and friendly relations between Georgia and Armenia, as well as the importance of exchanging expertise across various sectors.

“Armenian and Georgian citizens enjoy good-neighbourly relations. We must do everything possible to deepen these bonds and make our cooperation even more meaningful. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on Armenia’s Independence Day. To mark the occasion, the Tbilisi TV tower was illuminated in the colours of the Armenian flag. Whenever I visit Yerevan, I feel truly at home. I am confident that our active collaboration will continue to flourish, enabling us to realise many significant projects,” Kakha Kaladze said during the meeting.

Yerevan’s Mayor, Tigran Avinyan, also stressed the importance of transport reform, akin to the efforts in Tbilisi.

“Both Tbilisi and Yerevan are developing rapidly. We recognise how much focus you place on transport reforms. I understand that improving transport infrastructure is highly important for Tbilisi’s residents. Sharing experiences in this area would be beneficial. Additionally, we would be delighted to organise more cultural events with Tbilisi,” Avinyan remarked.Sve
