Mariamoba at Sioni Cathedral [Photo]

The Georgian Orthodox Church celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary [Mariamoba] on August 28. Solemn services were held in all functioning churches and monasteries across the country.

A festive liturgy took place at the Sioni Cathedral in Tbilisi, led by the Patriarchal Locum Tenens, Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri) of Senaki and Chkhorotsku.
