Mamuka Bakhtadze – We want to establish worthy pension system for our citizens
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze talked about the pension reform in the parliament. He said that an effective pension system could not be established without pension funds as it was practiced in many countries.
“We want to establish a worthy pension system for our citizens. If authors of the question about pension reform had the courage 15 years ago to launch a similar reform, the pension sum would have been the double amount at present,” PM said.
In an address to the opponents, Bakhtadze said that instead of making populist statements in the pre-election period, the government was taking the responsibility to resolve the pensions’ related problem.
Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze arrived in Parliament and appeared before the lawmakers this afternoon in the format of an interpellation rule. European Georgia Party applied to PM with the question about the accumulative pension system.
