Mamuka Bakhtadze – We all saw outcomes of zero tolerance policy of previous authorities
We all saw the outcomes of zero tolerance policy ‘Everybody in prison’ of the previous authorities – Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said in the Parliament when talking about the criminal situation in the country in the format of a new interpellation rule that has been activated in the supreme legislative body starting today.
According to PM, unfortunately, one part of the society was still loyal to the criminal mentality that was opposed to with a lawful policy led by the government, not at the expense of killing or infringement of dignity.
Also, Human Rights Department was established at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reforms were being carried out and preventive mechanisms were widely being introduced at all law enforcement agencies.
According to Bakhtadze, the government will remain intolerant to the fight against crime. “The key point is guaranteeing public order and security of each citizen and a guest of Georgia,” PM claimed.
