Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia visited Volkswagen Electric Car Manufacturing in Dresden today.
“Head of Government of Georgia observed the process of manufacturing and obtained information on the assembling technologies of electric vehicles from the management of the company.
Prime Minister of Georgia noted that Concept of Environmental Protection is a priority of the government and is branded as Green Economy. It envisages a gradual substitution of current pool of vehicles with electric cars along with many other initiatives.
Head of Government of Georgia noted that authorities welcome the cooperation with a leading car manufacturer in this process and appreciated that Volkswagen stands ready to greatly facilitate a more active exposure to the Georgian market.
First model of an electric car was assembled in 2017 at the car manufacturing enterprise operating in Dresden, which consumes 100 percent of green energy. According to the information shared by the company management, manufacturing technology of electric cars and their technical parameters are constantly advancing”, – the information released by Prime Minister’s Press Office reads.
