Mamuka Bakhtadze: Visit to US strengthens my optimism regarding strategic partnership and expanded economic ties
Since the restoration of independence in 1991, America has been our closest friend and ally, and as a result of the course of democracy developed over the past 28 years, independence has become our main value over the centuries, – Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said during a speech at a solemn reception in dedication to the Independence Day of Georgia in Washington.
The head of government spoke about the reforms being carried out in the country in terms of strengthening democratic institutions and thanked the United States for its strong support to Georgia.
