The loyalty of Georgian diplomats toward their motherland is the guarantee that we will continue protection of Georgia’s interests on an international arena successfully – Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister said in a speech delivered at Ambassadors’ Conference 2018.
During the annual meeting with Georgian diplomatic representations and heads of consulates, PM talked about achievements of the Georgian diplomacy in 2018. He focused on various high-level meetings held in 2018 including July 11-12 NATO Summit in Brussels and the role of Georgian diplomats in defending Georgia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty.
“The result of Georgian diplomacy is that Georgia’s territorial integrity is on top of the working agenda of the international community, and calls are constantly heard in direction of Russia to fulfill its internationally taken commitments and withdraw its armed forces from occupied territories,” PM said.
Bakhtadze also focused on enhanced relations with the main strategic partner – the US. “I want to thank our American friends for support to Georgia that is confirmed by the recently adopted two-party legislative act.
