Mamuka Bakhtadze releases statement regarding abduction of Maia Otinashvili by occupational regime
Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister released a statement regarding Maia Otinashvili, a 37-year-old Georgian woman who was detained by so-called “border guards” near the village Khurvaleti of Gori Municipality on September 29.
The statement reads as follows: “I would like to react on the abduction fact of Maia Otinashvili, mother of three children. We presumed clarification of the issue over her release in several hours this morning. All relevant institutions are using available mechanisms and communication channels for the release of the illegally detained Georgian citizen. A hotline is activated and international organizations are informed,” Bakhtadze said in the statement.
According to PM, Foreign Minister is due to personally meet with representatives of international organizations and Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia to ensure Otinashvili’s safe return to the family.
Maia Otinashvili, a 37-year-old Georgian woman who was detained by the occupational regime near the village Khurvaleti of Gori Municipality of Shida Kartli region on September 29, was imposed to 10-day pre-trial imprisonment by de-facto Prosecutor’s Office — Egor Kochiev, de-facto representative of occupied Tskhinvali region reported through a hotline. The State Security Service confirmed the information to First Channel.
