Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze met with Minister President Michael Kretschmer of the Free State of Saxony in Dresden.
At the official dinner in honor of the Head of Georgian Government, Michael Kretschmer thanked Mamuka Bakhtadze for returning to the Dresden Gallery a previously lost 17th century painting by Pietro Francesco Cittadini, which the Prime Minister of Georgia handed to Chancellor Angela Merkel of the Federal Republic of Germany during her visit to Tbilisi a few months ago.
The conversation revolved around the positive dynamic of Georgia-Germany relations, notably the successful recent cooperation across a variety of areas.
The parties also discussed the potential for deeper economic ties, prospects of vocational education cooperation, and sharing experience in adopting new technologies.
Mamuka Bakhtadze also informed the Minister President of Saxony about Georgia’s implemented and planned reforms, including in the field of education with a view to developing human capital and fostering the country’s economic advancement.
