A Declaration signed several days ago in connection with the 10th anniversary of Georgia-US Strategic Partnership gives vast opportunities to both nations – Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister said during his speech delivered at World Affairs Council of Dallas.
PM talked about the reforms carried out in Georgia after the restoration of independence. He stressed on representative democracy which is accountable before the voters, making Georgia the country where doing business is easy and investments in modern infrastructure which made Georgia a regional economic center.
“With all efforts, we are standing on the threshold of EU and NATO membership. All achievements make it clear that Georgia is moving in the right direction,” Bakhtadze said.
Head of the Georgian government spoke about bilateral relations with the US which is on the highest level and underlined on the importance of activation of trade-economic connections.
“We want to see more American companies in Georgia and more American companies to use Georgia as the platform for realization of products and expansion of trade relations,” Georgian PM said.
Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze was awarded the title of honorary citizen of Dallas. According to the Prime Minister’s Press Office, Bakhtadze was granted this status on behalf of Dallas Mayor Michael Scott Rawlings after his meeting with the Council on Foreign Relations.
