Malkhaz Machalikashvili was not allowed to set up a tent in front of parliament building

Malkhaz Machalikashvili, the father of Temirlan Machalikashvili, a 19-year-old youth killed during the special operation in Pankisi Gorge, has not been allowed to set up a tent in front of the parliament’s building.

Malkhaz Machalikashvili claims that he intends to set up a tent and resume the protest.

“They say that rehabilitation works should be carried out here. Because of this, we are not allowed to set up the tents. Finally, no rehabilitation works were conducted. They did not provide any document on rehabilitation works. I’ll definitely set up the tent. I do not obey the police. I obeyed the law. It is my right to set up a tent. What they do it is violating my rights”, – Malkhaz Machalikashvili said.

Head of Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi Patrol Police Division Goga Memanishvili told Machalikashvili that at this stage to set up a tent is unreasonable because rehabilitation works are planned to be launched there.
