Maia Miminoshvili, Tamar Sanikidze, Temur Murghulia and Lia Gigauri dismissed from the posts
Director of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Tamar Sanikidze, The director of the National Assessment and Examinations Centre Maia Miminoshvili, the Director of Teacher Professional Development Center Giorgi Machabeli and several other persons have been dismissed.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Batiashvili announced their resignation at the briefing today.
“Access to education and quality growth are our main priorities. For development of our country, it is necessary to create a competitive education system and meet the modern demands. Several reforms are planned in this direction.
This process requires new energy, visions and new staff policy. Therefore, we made the decision on above-mentioned resignations. Several persons have been dismissed: the Deputy Ministers of Education Temur Murghulia and Lia Gigauri, Director of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Tamar Sanikidze, the director of the National Assessment and Examinations Centre Maia Miminoshvili, the Director of Teacher Professional Development Center Giorgi Machabeli and Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Manana Mikaberidze. I would like to thank everyone for their work”, – Minister said.
According to him, staff reshuffles will continue in the system.
