Lelo's Kupradze: Vote during day, stand on Rustaveli in evening; these paths boost struggle against Ivanishvili
“Strong Georgia-Lelo Coalition is represented with a concrete plan regarding resistance to Ivanishvili’s Russian regime on all battlefields, this includes both the electoral fight and the fight through protest rallies,” declared Irakli Kupradze, Lelo’s candidate for Tbilisi Mayor.
According to Kupradze, their call is for citizens to go to the polls during the day and then take to Rustaveli in the evening.
“Let us go to the polls in the morning and during the day, and stand on Rustaveli in the evening, again defending our rights. These two paths, when you support the pro-Western opposition through the ballot and then rally to Rustaveli Avenue, do not oppose each other but rather strengthen the fight against Ivanishvili, weaken him and the Russian regime.
Tbilisi must seize this chance, including showing a quantitative advantage at polling stations and showing both quantitative and moral superiority on Rustaveli Avenue. Even under conditions of falsification in 2024, the pro-Western opposition and pro-Western society won in Tbilisi.
Now Bidzina Ivanishvili is even weaker, so we must strike him precisely in the area where he is weak. This is his being in the minority, because today there are far more pro-European Georgian citizens than the few officials and civil servants serving Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Russian plans,” declared Kupradze.
