Lelo’s Kupradze: Murusidze’s captured court cannot break Aleko Elisashvili; he will walk out a free man very soon
“Murusidze’s court is trying to crush Aleko Elisashvili, but they will fail in their tracks,” Irakli Kupradze, one of the leaders of the Lelo–Strong Georgia party, wrote on social media.
He further asserted that Elisashvili would soon be released.
“Ivanishvili’s captured court has sentenced my friend Aleko Elisashvili, a man boundlessly in love with his country, to 13 years in prison. This is a fabricated charge, designed purely for the regime’s propaganda machine. Nothing can obscure the truth, and nothing will ever stop me from standing by a fighting man! Murusidze’s court wants to grind Aleko down. They will fail. Aleko will not break, and he will walk out very soon as a proud, free man! Freedom for Aleko Elisashvili,” Kupradze wrote.
For context, Aleko Elisashvili, a co-leader of Lelo–Strong Georgia, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges of an attempted terrorist act.
