Lelo's Kupradze condemns political repression, vows to continue fight on all fronts
“I express my solidarity with Levan Khabeishvili. He is yet another political prisoner,” stated Irakli Kupradze, Secretary General of Lelo-Strong Georgia, during a briefing.
According to Kupradze, “we will persist in our struggle on all fronts, including protests and the electoral process.”
“Levan Khabeishvili’s arrest once again demonstrates that fear is the principal tool driving Bidzina Ivanishvili’s decisions. I fully stand in solidarity with Levan Khabeishvili. He is another political prisoner under Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime and the influence of Russia. We will continue fighting on all fronts, whether in the streets or at the ballot box. Rest assured, we will ensure that Ivanishvili is defeated before the Georgian people,” Kupradze affirmed.
The State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) has detained Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the political council of the United National Movement opposition party, on charges of allegedly offering officials monetary bribes.
