A lawyer has visited two individuals arrested during counter-terrorism operations conducted by the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG). According to the lawyer, the suspects maintain their innocence.

“I have reviewed the case materials. The file is not substantial. The individuals are charged under the third section of Article 236, which carries a prison sentence of 3 to 6 years with no alternatives. They do not admit to any wrongdoing. A search was conducted following a judge’s order. It is important to note that this article is not related to terrorism. The suspects were apprehended outside the city, and the case files reveal no connection to terrorist activities,” the lawyer stated.

As part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, the SSG has carried out several simultaneous special operations across the country, resulting from extensive operational activities and investigations that led to the arrests of these two suspects.
