Law on Public Health extended for six months

Georgian parliament extended the Law on Public Health for six months till July 1, 2021. Eighty-one MPs voted in favor of amendments and adopted the bill at the first reading today.

The bill allows the government to impose pandemic-related restrictions without declaring a state of emergency.

The parliament also approved the consecutive amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code.
