Kobakhidze: Serious trends in EU, only now do some subjects find our arguments convincing

“The trends within the European Union are indeed serious. The current U.S. administration is now echoing exactly what we have been arguing about for years, and only now do some subjects find our previous arguments, supported by concrete evidence and facts, truly convincing,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Turkmenistan, responding to journalists.

According to him, the Georgian government remains hopeful that these trends will ultimately lead to a positive shift.

“For several years, we have had to assert a simple truth regarding the observable trends across the European Union. Do you recall the criticism we faced for doing so? We were labelled a pro-Russian government simply because we highlighted these developments. Today, the current U.S. administration is now echoing exactly what we have been arguing about for years, and only now do some subjects find our previous arguments, supported by concrete evidence and facts, truly convincing. It is the reality we face: the trends within the European Union are serious, and we remain optimistic that they will eventually turn in a more positive direction. We will have to wait and see how these processes unfold,” the Prime Minister concluded.
