“Americans and Georgians have so much in common. I know our friendship will continue long into the future,” the new ambassador of the US to Georgia Kelly C. Degnan, said in her video released on Facebook.

The Ambassador noted that for the U.S. Georgia is a valued partner.

“Georgia is an important partner for the United States, and I am committed to keeping up ties strong for new areas of cooperation between our two countries.

Almost 30 years, the U.S. has been standing proudly with the people of Georgia. We help Georgia to develop its democratic institutions and its rule of law, economy and its security systems.

We are helping to improve Georgia’s education and health care systems too. As important ways to raise the quality of life for all Georgians.

There is more work to be done, especially in this election year to ensure truly free and fair elections this October,” Degnan stressed.
