Kartu Fund hands over three sports complexes to Rugby Union

Kartu Fund handed over three new, modern sports complexes to the Georgian Rugby Union. As Ministry of Sports reports, the total volume of investment exceeds 18 800 000 GEL.

The Georgian rugby infrastructure was added two new bases in Tbilisi and one – in Telavi. The facilities have artificial grass cover, wrestling halls, open recreational zones, medical examination rooms, and swimming pools.

Kartu Fund has supported Georgian rugby for 10 years. The fund allocated about 200 million GEL for the development of rugby. Georgian rugby players were handed over 15 bases for training during this period.

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Chairman of Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Chairman of Kartu Gamgeoba Nikoloz Chkhetiani and President of Rugby Union Gocha Svanidze attended the event.
