“No one believed us when we talked about the global war party. Now Donald Trump himself is saying that the Deep State, which has deep roots in the U.S. and Europe, must be defeated,” stated Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze while responding to the post of European Neighborhood Council (ENC) external advisor Terje Helland.

According to Kaladze, the government will always protect the country’s sovereignty and won’t allow anyone to use Georgia as a battlefield.

“While the Georgian Dream is in power, I want every citizen of our country to know one thing – we always act based on the country’s interests, we will always protect our homeland, defend the country’s independence, and further strengthen the country’s sovereignty. This is everything our previous generations fought and shed blood for – so that the country would be independent and not dependent on any specific person or even European states.

This independence needs protection, strengthening, reinforcement, and economic development. No one will be allowed to use Georgia to advance someone else’s interests or as a battlefield. You see what’s happening in Ukraine, what processes are ongoing, and we’ll see how all this ends a bit later. I’ve said many times and I’ll repeat – I wouldn’t wish what’s happening in Ukraine even on an enemy. Accordingly, we need to maintain peace, strengthen our economy, and continue the policy that Georgian Dream has chosen,” noted the Tbilisi Mayor.

Furthermore, Kaladze commented on Terje Helland’s statement claiming that the US is no longer Europe’s reliable partner. According to the capital’s mayor, European leaders are interfering in other countries’ internal affairs, which the U.S. President clearly sees and that’s why he talks about defeating the Deep State.

“U.S. President Donald Trump directly talks about the improprieties happening in Europe. Of course, it’s unacceptable for America when European country leaders directly interfere in foreign elections. In Romania, they completely cancelled elections because they didn’t like the results.

Elections were held in Georgia, and the majority of the country’s population supported peace and development, Georgian Dream, which implemented this policy, won. This turned out to be unacceptable for them. Look at what kind of statements they’re making – they’re shameful.

When Trump sees these types of actions from them, he makes corresponding statements. Of course, we’re watching for the Deep State to be defeated. Everyone saw what statements, blackmail, and threats of sanctions were made regarding Georgia. Today it’s a different world, processes are moving differently, and it will become even clearer to the public what we were talking about several years and months ago.
