Justice Ministry offers businesses preferential registration under entrepreneurs law
The Ministry of Justice of Georgia is offering entrepreneurs a special discount from March 9 to March 20 to help them bring their registration data into compliance with the Law of Georgia on Entrepreneurs.
According to Deputy Minister of Justice Tamar Zodelava, business entities will be able to complete the procedure at half price, paying 100 GEL instead of the standard 200 GEL. To benefit from the offer, entrepreneurs must use the standard regulations approved by the Minister of Justice and apply either at House of Justice branches across the country or register remotely through my.gov.ge.
The deadline for bringing company registration data into compliance with the law is April 1, 2026. If entrepreneurs fail to update their data by that date, the registration of the company will be suspended and extracts from the National Agency of Public Registry will no longer be issued.
So far, more than 350,000 entities have already updated their registration data. The requirement applies to companies registered before January 1, 2022, including limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, solidarity liability companies, limited partnerships, cooperatives, and branches of foreign enterprises.
The requirement does not apply to individual entrepreneurs or non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entities.
Business entities can complete the process by applying to:
- any House of Justice;
- any territorial office of the National Agency of Public Registry;
- authorized persons listed on napr.gov.ge;
- or remotely via my.gov.ge.
The ministry states that the law aims to simplify business procedures, protect the rights of entrepreneurs, and create a unified and systematized database of business entities.
