Justice Minister holds bilateral meetings at UN Public Service Forum in Tbilisi
The Minister of Justice has met with Li Junhua, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs. The Minister expressed his gratitude to Li Junhua for the close cooperation and support in organising this high-level forum.
The Ministry of Justice reported that Paata Salia highlighted Tbilisi’s evolution into a global hub for innovation and public service development. He emphasised that the theme of this year’s forum—”Transforming Public Institutions: Fostering Innovation, Accountability, Engagement, and Inclusivity”—perfectly mirrors the public service delivery reforms implemented in Georgia, which focus on modernising public institutions to guarantee more efficient, inclusive, and citizen-centric services.
The Minister also held a series of bilateral meetings with delegations from various countries participating in the forum.
Concluding the meetings, Paata Salia expressed his hope that the partnerships established during the forum would open up even greater opportunities to share knowledge and expertise.
The Minister stated that Georgia stands ready to share its unique experience with partner countries in developing rapid and efficient service delivery systems, including digital and remote platforms. Salia highlighted the pivotal role of the Ministry of Justice in the nation’s digital transformation, underscoring the importance of digital governance in fostering swift and highly effective collaboration between the state and its citizens.
