Jens Stoltenberg: We support Georgia's efforts to implement reforms
The Black Sea region is of strategic importance for NATO – Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary-General of NATO told the Georgian First Channel.
NATO Chief said that Georgia is an important partner of NATO and the alliance supports this country.
“The Alliance is represented in the Black Sea, three members of NATO – Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania are located in the Black Sea region as well as two partner states – Ukraine and Georgia. We have increased our representation in the Black Sea, working actively with Ukraine to overcome the problems that Ukraine is facing after the Russian aggression. Georgia is an important partner. We support it. We support Georgia’s efforts to implement reforms and thank Georgia for its support to NATO, “- Jens Stoltenberg said.
