Georgia’s readiness to deepen the integration process with the European Union is a big step forward. The more reforms Georgia carry out, the more support it has from us – Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission stated in Brussels after signing an agreement about 2018 Action Plan and Financial Support Program.

Davit Zalkaliani, Georgian Foreign Minister and Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations inked the document based on which a program of micro financial assistance with the volume of additional 55 million Euros will be opened to Georgia in the nearest future.

Junker underlined that partnership with Georgia was very important. “This is a long-term partnership both culturally and geographically,” he said.

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze met with Donald Tusk, President of the European Council within the framework of his visit to Brussels, Belgium. Georgian PM is also planned to hold other high-level meetings in Brussels.
