Georgia is a fantastic country which has already achieved a lot in terms of getting close to EU, democracy and reforms, – EU Ambassador to Georgia Janos Herman made the regarding statement in an interview with the analyst of the First Channel Zviad Avaliani.

During the interview Zviad Avaliani addressed to Janos Hermann with the question when the European Union will develop the strategy for the next expansion and when Georgia will receive the status of candidate in the EU.

According to Janos Hermann, in the case of Georgia, the EU has a program – this is an Association Agreement and its full implementation is very important.

“In believe, the European Union is now entering a phase of the next integration in specific directions and the continuation of this process is a relationship with our neighbors. Unfortunately, now I cannot say what will be the final result of this whole process.

The other side of the process is Georgia – fantastic country which has already achieved a lot in terms of getting close to EU, democracy and reforms. Therefore, I think, the best we can do now is to developed these relations and achieve more progress – we are ready for it,” – said Hermann.
