Italy backs Georgia's territorial integrity, MFA echoes Italian MP's move

Italy strongly supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressed Georgian Foreign Ministry (MFA) today, noting that “Rome has repeatedly issued an official statement condemning the illegal activities of the occupation regimes on Italian territory.”

The Ministry’s remarks came after media reports saying that the member of Italian Chamber of Deputies, Matteo Dall’Osso, will hold press conference on “The Right of Nations to Self-Determination – Abkhazia and Greater Europe” in the Italian Parliament which will be joined online by the leader of Abkhazia’s occupation regime Aslan Bzhania.

The MFA claims Matteo Dall’Osso is known for his close contacts with the representatives of the occupation regime. He actively participated in the provocative actions of the regime. “Rome will relevantly respond to Matteo Dall’Osso’s moves.”
