Irakli Okruashvili's case to be forwarded to Prosecutor's Office for missing Investigative Committee meeting
Former Defence Minister Irakli Okruashvili’s case will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office due to missing a meeting of the “Temporary Investigative Commission to Study the Activities of the Regime and Political Officials in Office from 2003-2012” in the Georgian Parliament.
The Commission’s head, Tea Tsulukiani, made the decision during today’s meeting.
“We witness a failure to comply with the commission’s request. Accordingly, I propose to send this case to the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia,” Tea Tsulukiani noted.
Apart from Orkuashvili, Lelo opposition party members Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze were not present, and their cases have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.
