Irakli Kobakhidze says there is readiness to recount precincts based on certain criteria

“There is a readiness to recount precincts based on certain criteria,” the member of the ruling Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, echoed NGOs saying that eight per cent of the polling stations showed certain imbalance.

MP Kobakhidze also responded to the NGOs remarks that the ruling team did not avoid manipulating citizens’ patriotic feelings and, presumably, for this purpose, launched so-called the cartographers’ case, which most likely led to the arrest of two innocent people.

Kobakhidze stressed that “the issue of Davit Gareji is very sensitive and it is important to shed light on this case.” He added that “this case can not have any links to the elections.”
