Interior Minister met with French Ambassador

Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud.

The Minister congratulated the French Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future endeavours.

Within the scope of the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral relations between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and France.

The Minister of Internal Affairs particularly highlighted the importance of operational cooperation and its crucial role in the fight against organised crime.

The parties also discussed the prospects for strengthening cooperation and expressed optimism that, through joint efforts, the existing ties between the two countries will be further developed.
