The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, recently held an introductory meeting with Mustafa Türker Ari, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia.
The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Georgia and extended his best wishes for success in his tenure.
During their discussions, both parties underscored the importance of the longstanding strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey, emphasising the need for ongoing exchange of experience and best practices. The conversation highlighted the significance of police cooperation, which has been effectively strengthened through the involvement of police attaches, the continuous exchange of crime-related intelligence, and the organisation of regular working visits.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sulkhan Tamazashvili expressed his gratitude to Mustafa Türker for the fruitful collaboration thus far. The minister reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to actively continue working with Turkey to bolster law enforcement cooperation and deepen bilateral ties.
