Interior Minister holds talks with Chinese counterpart during official visit to China
During his official visit to China, Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze met with Wang Xiaohong, Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the two officials discussed the ongoing cooperation between their respective law enforcement agencies.
“Geka Geladze and Wang Xiaohong focused on sectoral reforms, current projects, and the importance of sharing information and expertise within the framework of police cooperation. The Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs emphasised that Georgia is ready to actively continue working with its Chinese counterparts to make existing cooperation mechanisms more flexible and effective.
Both parties also expressed their willingness to implement measures aimed at sharing experiences and best practices between their agencies. At the conclusion of the meeting, Geka Geladze thanked his Chinese colleague for his cooperation and extended an invitation for a reciprocal visit to Georgia,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
