Innovation Agency Head sees Google Street View as key tool for Georgia's digital transformation
“The Google Street View application is a vital instrument in Georgia’s digital transformation,” said Avtandil Kasradze, Head of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Innovation and Technology Agency.
According to Kasradze, his agency has maintained an active partnership with Google for several years. A significant outcome of this collaboration is Google’s commitment to digitizing 24 cities across Georgia using its own funding.
Kasradze emphasized that this initiative will make the Street View application accessible to both the Georgian populace and tourists visiting the country.
“This application is essential for the country’s digital transformation. Furthermore, our collaboration with Google will extend beyond this project. We are actively exploring ways to ensure that Google’s artificial intelligence tools become accessible to the people of Georgia shortly,” Kasradze remarked.
For your information, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Innovation and Technology Agency, Google Street View is officially launching in Georgia. As a result, 360-degree panoramic images of Georgia will be integrated into Google Maps.
