Ingorokva Clinic: 21-year-old Aleksandre Tirkia achieves remarkable recovery, no longer requires intensive care

According to Kakhaber Chelidze, the clinical director of Ingorokva Clinic, 21-year-old Aleksandre Tirkia’s health has dramatically improved, and there is no longer a need for him to remain in the intensive care unit.

“There has been significant progress in the young man’s health. We observe a marked improvement in all parameters, including vision. While his vision has not fully recovered—such a rapid recovery is not expected in such a short period—the patient estimates that approximately 60-70% has already been restored.

Medical assessments generally align with the patient’s own estimations. All parameters are stable, although his condition remains under close observation. At this stage, his continued stay in the intensive care unit is no longer necessary, and he will likely be transferred to an isolated ward today. The patient is fully conscious and aware of his actions; he has expressed a desire to get up.

Naturally, for certain considerations, we have limited his complete freedom, but he can move with assistance. Overall, his condition is currently satisfactory,” the clinic director stated.

This patient was admitted to Ingoroqva Clinic on December 3 with an open scalp laceration, a fractured frontal bone and superior orbital rim, a contusion of the frontal lobe, and a traumatic haemorrhage in the membranes of the brain, during a demonstration on Rustaveli Avenue.
