Infrastructure Minister reports to Parliament on key projects for infrastructure development

“Infrastructure Ministry continues road infrastructure development and modernization,” said Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze, reporting to the parliament in interpellation format.

The Minister spoke in detail about the Tbilisi bypass road construction, its tender procedures and the launch of works in 2026-2027.

Sokhadze accentuated Batumi-Sarphi 11.3-kilometer two-line road construction in 2026 and the modernization of the 31-kilometer Kobuleti bypass road into a 4-line highway. He provided details of Samtredia-Zugdidi, Gurjaani-Telavi and Tsnori-Lagodekhi road projects.

Speaking about projects in the northern direction, the Minister focused on the Natakhtari-Zhinvali and Pasanauri bypass road, which would be constructed in 2027.

“These projects will significantly improve the country’s transport network, contribute to strengthening regional ties and increasing economic potential,” Revaz Sokhadze stressed.
