Infrastructure Minister: Fair play and flexibility are key to healthy business relations
“Fair play in business cooperation means that when we consider contractual relations, we recognise the importance of being flexible, while also ensuring that the contract does not become a burdensome obstacle for business,” stated the Minister of Infrastructure, Revaz Sokhadze, live on the GPB First Channel’s Business Partner programme.
According to the Minister, flexibility within contractual processes is essential, particularly when construction projects face delays. In cases of shortcomings, the state must respond swiftly and effectively.
“When we identify serious deficiencies in the construction process, including issues related to quality, we must be flexible enough to address and rectify these problems. If a company is unable to do so, we must act quickly to make a decision and replace that company,” Sokhadze explained.
The Infrastructure Minister emphasised that the ministry’s approach to working with businesses will be fair and flexible, but always with a primary focus on safeguarding the state’s interests.
