Incumbent Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has voiced his perspective on the ongoing election campaign, asserting that the opposition’s real aim is to sow tension and disrupt the democratic process.

In response to a relevant question, Kakha Kaladze explained that the ruling team is actively informing citizens about completed and upcoming projects, whereas the opposition is solely focused on criticising those who do not support them.

“The election campaign is in full swing. The goal is obvious: to create unrest. But no one is paying attention to them. You see, the 30 hooligans are in a miserable state; they are ‘scattered’, lacking support or backing. We daily announce the completion of road projects and share news about new parks, squares, and recreational areas. Meanwhile, they organise rallies and block streets, causing significant inconvenience to the public. We meet with voters daily, discussing the country’s future and plans for Tbilisi; they only gather among themselves, curse everyone who isn’t on their side, and then wonder why the Georgian Dream and I personally enjoy such widespread support and solidarity,” Kaladze remarked.
