Georgian citizens, Lasha Khetereli and Ucha Jokhadze, illegally detained in July 2023, were released on Friday, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) reported.
According to the SSSG, the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia and all the relevant instruments of the central government had been involved in the process of releasing them.
“The occupation regime is accountable for all the destructive actions happening in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the occupation line.
The central government, together with international partners, continues to work actively to release all citizens of Georgia in illegal custody,” the SSSG added.
